About Valkyria
Valkyria is a Peruvian-Japanese artist whose path has been shaped across multiple life experiences. Her work, created exclusively with ink and technical pens, is deeply symbolic, monochromatic, and introspective. Influenced by her many relocations and time spent in Peru, Russia, France, and Australia, Valkyria explores themes such as transformation, movement, and fragility through recurring motifs like airships, animals, and especially butterflies — which she incorporates into her artworks in real form. After one of her butterfly-framed pieces accidentally broke, she chose to poetically integrate the fragments into new compositions, giving them renewed life within her art.
